Meet The Author
I didn’t grow up loving books.
As a child, reading felt frustrating and discouraging — I struggled to remember what I read, and stories never seemed to stick. It wasn’t until later in life, after becoming a mom, that I discovered a love for reading and storytelling. What once felt impossible slowly became a place of comfort, connection, and understanding.
I’m a mom of three beautiful kids — two who are on the autism spectrum and one who is neurotypical and very much my mini-me in every way. My children, their curiosity, creativity, and love of building and being unapologetically themselves are the heart behind everything I write.
These stories were created with kids like mine in mind — children with beautifully unique, neurodivergent brains — but they are just as much for neurotypical kids as well. Some of these stories follow characters who love things that don’t always fit social expectations, kids who enjoy what they enjoy even when it isn’t the trend or the “normal” choice. I want young readers to know that it’s okay to like what you like, even if it looks different from everyone else. You don’t have to follow the crowd to belong.
These books are for kids who may struggle with anxiety, bullying, or the pressure to fit into a mold they were never meant for. They’re for kids learning that being different doesn’t make you less — it makes you you.
Most of all, I want young readers to know that they are not limited by how their minds work or by what the world expects of them. Seeing the world differently does not mean you are broken. Bullies, labels, or people who don’t understand you do not define who you are. You were made exactly the way you are for a reason — because somewhere in this world, someone needs someone just like you.
Through my stories, I hope to remind young hearts that struggles can become strengths, differences can become superpowers, and growth happens one step at a time
